Dr. Azim Malik
Azim Malik graduated from the University of Birmingham, School of Dentistry, in 2011. Following his vocational training year, he worked in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery posts at Basildon & Thurrock University Hospital and Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford, Essex. Here he worked alongside Maxillofacial surgeons and acquired experience in treating patients with wisdom teeth impactions; TMJ dysfunction; facial trauma; head/neck cancer and those requiring reconstructive surgery.
In 2012 he passed his Membership of Faculty of Dental Surgeons exams and was elected as a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (MFDS RCSEd). In 2014 he successfully completed and passed the Diploma of Primary Care Dentistry examination at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (DipPCD RCSI).
Azim completed his Specialist training in Periodontology and Implant Dentistry at the Royal London Dental Hospital/Barts Health where he completed his Doctorate in Clinical Dentistry. He has successfully passed his Membership in Periodontics examination at the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh (MPerio RCSEd) and is a GDC registered Specialist Periodontist. Azim enjoys treating anxious and nervous patients and putting them at ease. Patient comfort is his utmost priority. He enjoys all aspects of dentistry and his areas of interest include surgical periodontal treatment, bone and tissue regeneration, treatment of recession and implants.
He enjoys cycling, running and travelling. Azim is also a previous official Guinness World Record Holder and has appeared on TV.
Azim is married to Maryam.
Azim is registered as a specialist in Periodontics with the General Dental Council.
